Psychology-Informed Life Coaching
Overview
Coaching with me offers a space to pause, take stock, and reconnect with what matters when life feels uncertain, stuck, or quietly out of alignment. Whether you’re navigating personal change, questioning long‑held assumptions, or simply sensing that something in you is shifting, this work gives you room to understand yourself, explore possibilities, and move forward with greater clarity and self‑trust. There’s no blanket approach — everything is personalised to you, your values, and the realities of your life.
Approach
This service is grounded in psychological models of wellbeing, motivation, and sustainable change, and shaped by a human‑to‑human relationship built on humility, curiosity, and respect for your lived experience.
Who is this service for?
The topics and questions that are brought to coaching are as varied as the people that bring them. You might recognise yourself in one of these situations:
-
Feeling stuck, unmotivated, or unsure where to begin when life opens up or shifts around you.
-
Navigating relationship changes, wanting deeper connection, or feeling you’ve grown in different directions from the people around you.
-
Facing a difficult decision or conversation, and wanting thinking space rather than advice.
-
Adjusting to a new normal — changes in lifestyle, caring responsibilities, health, family dynamics, or identity.
-
Feeling the weight of world events, uncertainty, or injustice, and wanting to make sense of your responses.
-
Wanting to explore confidence, social connection, procrastination, imposter feelings, or self‑belief in a non‑judgemental space.
-
Carrying something quietly and going about life, but wondering what difference it would make to have support.
What We Might Explore Together
Coaching is collaborative, so our work is shaped by your pace, your questions, and your way of thinking. Together we might explore:
Values, strengths, and what drives you, so you can make choices that feel meaningful rather than pressured by norms or expectations.
Self‑acceptance and self‑compassion, especially when perfectionism, comparison, or internal criticism get in the way.
What can change and what cannot, and how to move forward with confidence in both.
New perspectives and possibilities, widening your world view and expanding what feels available to you.
Sustainable change, supported by the development of an “inner coach” — a more grounded, self‑supportive way of relating to yourself that continues long after our sessions end.
Research supports a range of positive outcomes of coaching. Benefits described by my clients include increased self-belief and confidence, increased motivation, renewed energy, a more compassionate understanding self and other people and improved wellbeing.
